Verbal Abuse is a very different band here than the straightforward hardcore punk sound they had been kicking out with their debut. It’s 1986 and the the band have absolutely moved towards a crossover/thrash metal direction. Seems to have been a less popular move in the long run, but for me, this is good shit. Love this record as much as the first. Eat a dick, punk rock purists. Engineered by Sylvia Massy, who would later produce and engineer Tool’s iconic Undertow LP.
