Being easily distracted with my actual life, I appear to have dropped off of my Jane albums run through after the most excellent Between Heaven And Hell LP. Picking things up here with 1978’s Age Of Madness and while it seems to indicate a slight decline in the band’s progressive leaning output, this particular LP plays like a bunch of really cool Pink Floyd passages from their Wish You Were Here-Animals era, but distinctly Jane. Not to say they sound just like Floyd, but musically, the vibes are similar while the lyrical these are not. Lovely album, cool sound and feeling through and through.
1978 German pressing on Brain. I sort of forgot I had picked this up in early 2023 while working in Brussels and now I’m stoked all over again to have it.
