Steppenwolf recorded a few gigs in support of the Monster album in early 1970 and released this 2xLP live album in April of the same year. It’s still crazy to me how fast bands could churn out records back in the day and they’d still sound great. Seems like it’s years between albums for artists nowadays. Solid live collection that features cuts from the Monster album heavily, but also a nice cross section of tunes from other albums, including the band’s most well known songs.
