After a stint as an unsigned act, even releasing the Jam Room album on their own River Road Records, they soon got picked up by Atlantic Records and dropped the amazing, yet flawed, Pure Rock Fury in 2001. When I say flawled, I’m very specifically referring to the mix and mastering of this album, which is a uniquely terrible execution. Despite the production issues; the album still fucking smokes and contains some of the band’s all time greatest tunes.
2022 unofficial vinyl release, credited to Atlantic Records, but really of indeterminate origin. For an already flawed recording, I gotta say… this counterfeit vinyl release has far exceeded my expectations and somehow sounds fucking great. This album has never been officially released on vinyl, so stoked to have this kicking around until that changes.
