Expo ‘70 - Where Does Your Mind Go? (2010)

Where Does Your Mind Go? Fitting title for this Expo ‘70 journey into stoner/psychic ambient goodness. Like most Expo ‘70 albums, this one is built on guitar effects, repetition, and subtly. The album is a beautiful 2xLP release with each side consisting of one side long track, each with their own vibe, but all coming right out of the mid-1970s corners of your psyche.

Expo ‘70 remains an odd branch of my record collection. I only discovered them in 2025 as they were on a split release I purchased for some tracks by Date Palms. The Expo ‘70 tracks were also quite good and I noticed the act (mainly a solo effort by guitarist Justin Wright), was prolific, with countless albums out there and nearly all of them on tiny labels with limited releases. One top of that, many of their vinyl reissues are available on Discogs for very little money, so I’ll occasionally round up a few of their LPs. I’ll never get them all and don’t buy them in any order, and it’s been a fun thread to pull on.

2010 US pressing on label called Immune.
